June Beallor

Award-winning filmmaker June Beallor has worked with some of the top public figures of our time, predominantly focusing on historical subjects, social issues, and activism. Her work has garnered many awards, including Oscar®, Emmy®, the prestigious Peabody Award, and the Edward R. Murrow-Excellence in Journalism Award, among others.

Based in Los Angeles and New York, Beallor develops, produces and directs documentaries, features, TV series/films, shorts, live events, and branded content video and initiatives.

Beallor began her career in New York at ABC News' long-form documentary unit Closeup, was subsequently at The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles on numerous features, at Warner Bros. as a Production Executive on the critically acclaimed China Beach, and at DreamWorks with an overall feature producing deal.

Beallor is also an Executive Consultant, specializing in developing synergies between the entertainment community and the nonprofit world.

Beallor was Founding Executive Director and a primary architect working with Steven Spielberg to establish and run the Shoah Foundation. She led the collection of over 50,000 Holocaust survivor and witness visual history testimonies in 32 languages from 56 countries, now the largest collection of its kind in the world. In addition, Beallor spearheaded the Shoah Foundation’s development campaign, helping to raise over $100 million in cash and in-kind donations. She produced and led distribution of documentaries for the Shoah Foundation to global markets. She also helped launch the organization’s recent global Stronger Than Hate efforts and led their partnership with Universal Studios for the 25th Anniversary re-release of the Academy Award®-winning film Schindler’s List. Beallor continues to serve as an Executive Consultant for USC Shoah Foundation which has become a global leader in testimony-based education.

Beallor established the USC Shoah Foundation’s signature Ambassadors for Humanity benefit, and has produced the live event for two decades working with Event Chair Steven Spielberg, and other prominent figures and artists, from President Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, and Tom Hanks to Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, and composer/conductor John Williams, among others.

Beallor co-founded Holocaust Survivors, Family & Friends for Biden-Harris, a coalition to restore humanity, compassion, and integrity to American leadership, which was subsequently adopted by the Biden-Harris 2020 campaign. 

Beallor has also overseen the creation, production, and execution of hundreds of promos, tribute films, and global initiatives and has numerous film, TV, and documentary projects in active development and production.

Beallor is a Founding Member of the Documentary Committee at the Directors Guild of America, a member of both the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences, having served numerous terms on the Producers’ Executive Committee.
